Arlinda Rrustemi’s is Director of Peace Analytics, and oversees the organization’s acquisition efforts, is responsible for day-to-day management activities, and oversees the process of Lifestory collection and publications. She also involves herself in the implementation of company contracts, client outreach, and in the codifying of Lifestories data for use in machine learning applications. Arlinda pioneered the methodology underpinning the lifestories dataset and is almost single-handedly responsible for the collection of the data contained therein.
Arlinda holds a PhD in Political Science from Leiden University in the Netherlands, and has published several articles various journals and media outlets. She works as Senior Advisor at Columbia University and previously worked as a Senior Strategic Analyst at The Hague Centre for Strategic Studies (HCSS), as well as as a Lecturer and Researcher at Leiden University. Her research interests are in state- nation- and peace-building, transitional justice, humanitarian intervention, lifestories methodologies, and terrorism. She has extensive experience operating in Europe and the US.
